A talk on ‘The Dangers of Filming with Daphne’ for the residents of Denville Hall on Weds 7th Janauary 2026

With Daphne’s help, Sophie Neville will give an illustrated talk on ‘The Making of Swallows and Amazons’ to residents of Denville Hall, the retirement home for actors and those who worked in the entertainment industry, on Wednesday 7th January.

Daphne looked after the young cast on location in the Lake District, ensuring the kept safe while out on the water.

Being a longbow champion, she taught the girls playing the Amazons to shoot a bow and arrow without killing the crew.
